While there's no charge to visit the lavender fields, the likelihood that you'll want to buy something is off the charts.  Who can resist the intoxicating smell of lavender?  The farm is run by some great botanists.  They do tours periodically where they talk about all sorts of factors related to lavender.  This is a pretty remarkable plant to learn about as it can be turned into oils that help calm you down, flavors that taste great in deserts, and even pesticides that keep some bugs away.  Bottom line, it's a pretty great place to look, listen, and learn.

Ideas, Notes, & Tips

Be advised: This place smells amazing!  It's hard to leave the store without buying something.  :-)

There are some hidden gems here too - like the zen maze tucked behind the trees, the bee hives near the meadow, the vegetable garden, the butterfly garden, the zen garden, etc.  And it's got great space to run out some pent up energy.
